Boucher (horse)

Boucher was an American Thoroughbred racehorse foaled in 1923. He was bred and owned by Willis Sharpe Kilmer's Court Manor Stud. Boucher was known for his stamina and versatility, successfully competing at distances ranging from sprints to longer routes.

A notable achievement for Boucher was winning the 1926 Kentucky Derby, ridden by jockey Joe Miller. He defeated the heavily favored Crusader in a decisive victory. Later that year, he finished second in the Preakness Stakes.

Boucher continued to race successfully for several years, demonstrating exceptional soundness and consistency. He was retired from racing to stud and sired several winners, although he did not achieve the same level of success as a stallion as he had on the racetrack. Boucher's legacy remains primarily as a prominent Kentucky Derby winner of the 1920s.
