Bob Stinson (baseball)
Robert "Bob" Stinson (born August 26, 1956) is a former professional baseball player. He was a right-handed pitcher who played briefly in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals in 1979.
Stinson was drafted by the Royals in the 1st round (20th overall) of the 1974 MLB June Amateur Draft from Helix High School in La Mesa, California.
He made his MLB debut on September 12, 1979, and appeared in three games for the Royals that season, all in relief. He pitched a total of 3 2/3 innings, allowing 5 earned runs, for an ERA of 12.27. He did not record a decision (win or loss) or a save.
Stinson did not play in the major leagues after 1979. His professional baseball career continued in the minor leagues for several more years.
