Bob Cochran (skier)
Bob Cochran (born November 9, 1941) is an American former alpine ski racer and coach. A member of the famed "Skiing Cochrans" family from Richmond, Vermont, Cochran competed in the 1960 and 1964 Winter Olympics. He specialized in slalom and giant slalom events.
Following his competitive career, Cochran transitioned to coaching. He was instrumental in the development of the Cochran's Ski Area, founded by his parents, and continued the family legacy of nurturing young ski racers. He also coached at various levels, contributing significantly to the development of competitive skiing in the United States.
