"Revol" is a song by the Japanese rock band SID, released as their third major label single on July 1, 2009. The song served as the first opening theme for the anime series Magiс Knight Rayearth (re-airing in 2009). The title is likely a shortened form of "Revolution." The song features a driving rock sound characteristic of early SID, and the lyrics reflect themes of change, defiance, and pushing forward. It was released in two versions: a limited edition with a DVD containing the music video and making-of footage, and a regular edition with just the CD. "Revol" performed well commercially, reaching the top of the Oricon charts in Japan, solidifying SID's position in the J-Rock scene.
