Alec Ross (footballer)
Alec Ross was a Scottish footballer who played primarily as a left-back or half-back. His career spanned the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
He is best known for his time at Heart of Midlothian, where he was a key player and captain of the team. He played a significant role in Hearts' success during this period, helping them win the Scottish League Championship twice, in 1894-95 and 1896-97. He also won the Scottish Cup with Hearts in 1891 and 1896.
