Haurvatat
Haurvatat is an Avestan word that signifies wholeness, perfection, and health. In Zoroastrianism, it is the name of one of the Amesha Spentas, the six divine emanations or archangels of Ahura Mazda.
As an Amesha Spenta, Haurvatat embodies the abstract concept of physical and spiritual well-being, often associated with water and prosperity. She is the guardian of waters and is believed to provide health and wholeness to those who live righteously and follow the teachings of Zoroaster.
Haurvatat is often paired with Ameretat (Immortality), another Amesha Spenta. Together, they represent the ultimate goals of human existence in Zoroastrianism: wholeness in this life and immortality in the next. Achieving these states requires living a life of righteousness, truthfulness, and good deeds.
The invocation and worship of Haurvatat is intended to bring about blessings of health, prosperity, and overall well-being. She represents the ideal state of being that all Zoroastrians strive for.
