Blueprint (808 State album)

Blueprint is the second studio album by British electronic music group 808 State, released in 1989 on Creed Records. It marked a significant step forward in their sound, further developing the acid house and techno influences of their debut, Newbuild, and incorporating more sophisticated melodies and arrangements.

The album features a number of tracks that have become classics of the early UK rave scene, including "Pacific State," arguably their most well-known song. "Pacific State" is characterized by its mellow, Balearic-inspired sound, featuring a distinctive saxophone melody and atmospheric soundscapes. Other notable tracks include "The Only Rhyme That Bites," which samples the Beastie Boys, and "Ancodia," a more driving, techno-oriented track.

Blueprint is considered a seminal album in the development of electronic music, helping to popularize acid house and techno in the UK and beyond. Its blend of experimental sounds and dancefloor-friendly rhythms influenced a generation of electronic musicians.
