James Rodd (Australian politician)
James Rodd (born 1860, died 1941) was an Australian politician. He served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, representing the electorate of Young from 1920 to 1925. He was elected as a Progressive Party member under proportional representation. Prior to entering state politics, Rodd was a farmer and grazier in the Young district. He was involved in local government before his parliamentary career, serving as an alderman on the Young Municipal Council. During his time in parliament, he advocated for rural interests and agricultural development. Following the abolition of proportional representation and the return to single-member electorates, he contested the 1927 election for the National Party but was unsuccessful. He later retired from public life.
