Devils (Xmal Deutschland album)

Devils is the third and final studio album by the German dark wave/gothic rock band Xmal Deutschland, released in 1987 by Phonogram Records. The album marked a shift in the band's sound, moving away from the primarily gothic and atmospheric textures of their earlier work towards a more accessible and synth-driven sound, incorporating elements of pop and new wave.

While Devils retained some of the band's signature dark and melancholic themes, the production was notably more polished and commercially oriented compared to their previous albums, Fetisch and Tocsin. The album also featured more prominent use of synthesizers and electronic instrumentation.

Devils did not achieve the same level of critical or commercial success as their earlier albums, and is often viewed by fans as a departure from the band's original sound. It was the last full-length studio album released by Xmal Deutschland before their eventual breakup in 1989. The album spawned at least one single, though its chart performance was limited.
