Ashley Cooper (racing driver)

Ashley Cooper (1980 – 2008) was an Australian racing driver. He competed primarily in Australian motorsport categories, including the V8 Utes series and the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series. Cooper was known for his aggressive driving style and strong performances in lower-tier categories. His career was tragically cut short when he died as a result of injuries sustained in a crash during a Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series race at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. The incident prompted immediate safety reviews of the series and resulted in improvements to circuit safety. His death is remembered within the Australian motorsport community.
