Paul Harvey (actor)
Paul Harvey (September 4, 1882 – December 5, 1968) was an American character actor who appeared in nearly 300 films and numerous television programs. Known for his stern demeanor and authoritative presence, Harvey often played roles of judges, lawyers, politicians, doctors, and military officers.
Harvey began his acting career on the stage, working in stock companies and touring productions. He transitioned to film in the 1930s, quickly establishing himself as a reliable and versatile performer. His film credits include notable works such as Fury (1936), I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932), Each Dawn I Die (1939), The Philadelphia Story (1940), and The Manchurian Candidate (1962).
In addition to his film work, Harvey was a frequent guest star on television shows throughout the 1950s and 1960s. He appeared in popular series like The Lone Ranger, Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, The Twilight Zone, and Bonanza.
Harvey's extensive career showcased his ability to portray a wide range of characters, solidifying his place as a respected character actor in Hollywood. He died in 1968 at the age of 86.
