Lot Hall

Lot Hall is a former dormitory located on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. It was part of the East Quadrangle, a grouping of residence halls built in the 1950s and 1960s to accommodate the university's growing student population following World War II.

Lot Hall, along with its neighboring dormitories, traditionally housed primarily first-year students. Over the years, it became known for its strong sense of community and the bonding experiences of its residents. The building was a standard dormitory layout, featuring double rooms along long hallways, common bathroom facilities on each floor, and a central lounge area. It played a significant role in the social life of many Miami University students, fostering friendships and memories.

Lot Hall was demolished in the summer of 2023 as part of a campus-wide modernization project to replace older residence halls with newer, more energy-efficient facilities. The demolition marked the end of an era for many alumni who fondly remembered their time living in the building. Although no longer standing, Lot Hall remains a significant part of Miami University's history and the memories of its former residents. Its legacy continues through the stories and connections forged within its walls.
