Black Widows (Indian TV series)

Black Widows (Indian TV series) is a Hindi-language dark comedy crime web series that premiered on ZEE5 on December 18, 2020. It is an Indian adaptation of the Finnish series of the same name, Mustat Lesket. The series revolves around three best friends who have been abused or otherwise mistreated by their husbands, and who plot to murder them. After the supposed death of their husbands in a boat explosion, the women believe they are finally free. However, secrets from the past and new investigations begin to threaten their carefully constructed new lives. The series explores themes of domestic violence, female empowerment, friendship, and the consequences of revenge. It features a cast including Mona Singh, Swastika Mukherjee, Shamita Shetty, Sharad Kelkar, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, and Raima Sen. The series was directed by Birsa Dasgupta.
