Rosé (singer)

Rosé, born Roseanne Park (Korean: 박채영, Park Chae-young; born February 11, 1997), is a Korean-New Zealand singer and dancer based in South Korea. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink, formed by YG Entertainment.

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Rosé signed with YG Entertainment after a successful audition in 2012 and trained for four years. She debuted as a member of Blackpink in August 2016.

In March 2021, Rosé made her solo debut with the single album R, which included the singles "On the Ground" and "Gone". "On the Ground" achieved commercial success, breaking several records and establishing Rosé as a successful solo artist.

Rosé's vocal style is recognized for its distinctive and unique timbre, contributing to Blackpink's overall sound and allowing her to stand out as a soloist. She is also known for her guitar playing and songwriting skills.

Beyond music, Rosé has also ventured into fashion, serving as a global ambassador for luxury brands such as Yves Saint Laurent. Her influence extends to various aspects of pop culture, solidifying her position as a prominent figure in the Korean entertainment industry.
