Biržai
Biržai is a city in northern Lithuania, located in Panevėžys County. It is the administrative center of Biržai District Municipality.
History: Biržai's history is closely tied to the Radziwiłł (Lithuanian: Radvila) family, who acquired the area in the 16th century. The city grew around Biržai Castle, which was a significant defensive structure. Biržai was granted Magdeburg rights in 1589.
