Batočina

Batočina is a town and municipality located in the Šumadija District of central Serbia. As of 2011, the population of the town is 4,749, while the population of the municipality is 11,760.

The municipality encompasses several villages in addition to the town of Batočina. These villages contribute to the overall agricultural production of the region, which is characterized by fertile land suitable for farming.

Historically, the area around Batočina has been inhabited since ancient times. The modern town developed primarily during the Ottoman period and after the liberation of Serbia in the 19th century.
