Basuto (1902 ship)
The Basuto was a British cargo steamship built in 1902 by Barclay, Curle & Company, Glasgow. She was owned by T. & J. Harrison, a prominent shipping company of Liverpool. The Basuto operated primarily on trade routes between the United Kingdom and South Africa. During her service, she carried general cargo and passengers. The Basuto was sunk on May 22, 1918, in the Atlantic Ocean west of Ireland, by the German submarine U-103. There were no casualties reported.
