Bad 25 (film)

Bad 25 is a 2012 documentary film about the making of Michael Jackson's 1987 album Bad, and the subsequent Bad world tour. Directed by Spike Lee, it is the second documentary Lee directed focusing on Jackson, following Michael Jackson's Journey from Motown to Off the Wall (2016).

The film features extensive archival footage, including behind-the-scenes recording sessions, concert excerpts, interviews with collaborators such as Quincy Jones, Martin Scorsese (who directed the "Bad" short film), musicians, dancers, and members of Jackson's production team. It explores the creative process behind the album, the development of its music videos, and the impact of the Bad era on Jackson's career and popular culture.

Bad 25 premiered at the 69th Venice International Film Festival on August 31, 2012 and was subsequently released on television and home media. It received generally positive reviews, with critics praising its comprehensive coverage of the album and tour, as well as its insightful look into Jackson's artistic vision.
