Amenmose (prince)
Amenmose was an ancient Egyptian prince of the 18th Dynasty, the eldest son of Pharaoh Thutmose I and Queen Ahmose. He was the intended heir to the throne but predeceased his father.
Amenmose held the titles of "Eldest King's Son," "Overseer of Horses," and "Chief of the Archers." His early death necessitated the succession of his younger brother, Thutmose II, to the throne. While little detailed information survives about Amenmose's life and time as crown prince, his existence is confirmed through various inscriptions and depictions. His name suggests a dedication to the god Amun. The precise circumstances and date of his death are unknown.
