Amanda Murphy (politician)

Amanda Murphy is an American politician from the state of Florida. She served as a Democratic member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 36th district from 2013 to 2016.

Murphy was first elected to the Florida House in a special election in 2013, defeating Republican candidate Bill Gunter. She represented parts of Pasco County. During her time in the legislature, she served on various committees, including those dealing with healthcare, education, and economic development.

Murphy did not seek re-election in 2016.
