Alma (Finnish singer)
Alma-Sofia Miettinen (born January 17, 1996), most famously known as Alma, is a Finnish singer and songwriter. She gained prominence as a finalist on the seventh season of the Finnish version of Idol in 2013.
Following Idol, Alma signed with Universal Music Group and released her debut single "Karma" in 2015. Her breakthrough came with the release of her 2016 single "Dye My Hair," which garnered international attention and charted in multiple European countries.
Alma is known for her distinctive raspy vocals, vibrant and energetic stage presence, and her contributions to pop and electronic music. She is also recognised for her collaborations with prominent artists such as Charli XCX, Miley Cyrus, and Tove Lo.
Her songwriting often explores themes of individuality, self-expression, and empowerment. She has released numerous EPs and singles, and her debut album, Have U Seen Her?, was released in 2020.
