Aleksandr Gerasimov (volleyball)
Aleksandr Gerasimov (born January 22, 1975) is a retired Russian volleyball player. He primarily played as an opposite hitter.
Gerasimov was a key member of the Russian national volleyball team during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He competed in two Olympic Games, winning a silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
Throughout his club career, Gerasimov played for several prominent Russian volleyball teams, including Iskra Odintsovo and Dynamo Moscow. He won numerous domestic titles and individual awards. He was known for his powerful attacks and blocking ability.
After retiring from professional volleyball, Gerasimov transitioned into coaching.
