Roxburghshire (UK Parliament constituency)
Roxburghshire was a county constituency of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system. It was located in the county of Roxburghshire in the Scottish Borders.
Creation and Abolition:
The constituency was created in 1708 following the Acts of Union, replacing the former Parliament of Scotland constituency of Roxburghshire. It existed until 1950, when it was merged with Selkirk and Peebles to form the Roxburgh, Selkirk and Peebles constituency.
Boundaries:
The constituency's boundaries were coterminous with the county of Roxburghshire.
