Matthew Lewis (actor)
Matthew Lewis (born June 27, 1989) is an English actor best known for his portrayal of Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter film series.
Early Life and Education
Lewis was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. He attended St Mary's Menston Catholic Voluntary Academy.
Career
Lewis began his acting career with small roles in British television series. His breakthrough role came in 2001 when he was cast as Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He continued to play the character in all subsequent Harry Potter films, becoming a fan favorite due to Neville's character development and Lewis's performance.
Following the conclusion of the Harry Potter series, Lewis has appeared in various television and film projects, including The Syndicate, Death in Paradise, Bluestone 42, Girlfriends, Happy Valley, and Terminal. He has also worked on stage, appearing in productions such as Our Boys and Unfaithful.

Lewis became engaged to Angela Jones in 2016, and they married in Italy in 2018.
