Monirul Islam (police officer)

Monirul Islam is a Bangladeshi police officer who has held prominent positions within the Bangladesh Police. He is primarily known for his expertise in counter-terrorism and crime investigation.

Islam has served as the Additional Inspector General (Addl. IGP), which is a high-ranking position within the Bangladesh Police hierarchy. Prior to that, he held the position of Chief of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). He played a significant role in establishing and developing the CTTC unit, which is dedicated to combating terrorism and transnational crime within Bangladesh.

During his tenure, Islam has been involved in investigating and coordinating operations against various militant groups and criminal organizations operating within Bangladesh. His work has been recognized both domestically and internationally. He has also been involved in various initiatives related to public safety and security.
