Histria (ancient city)

Histria was an ancient Greek colony located on the western shore of the Black Sea, in modern-day Romania. Founded in the late 7th or early 6th century BC, it is considered one of the oldest Greek settlements on the Black Sea coast. Its strategic location at the mouth of the Danube Delta provided access to vital trade routes and resources.
