Richard A. Baker (businessman)
Richard A. Baker is an American businessman known primarily for his involvement in the retail and real estate sectors. He is perhaps most recognized as the Governor, Executive Chairman and CEO of Hudson's Bay Company (HBC), a role he assumed in 2008 and held until transitioning to Governor and Executive Chairman. He returned to the CEO role in 2024.
Baker is also the founder of Baker Capital Management, a private equity firm specializing in real estate and retail investments. Through Baker Capital, he has been involved in numerous acquisitions and management of retail brands and properties.
