popHealth (population Health) is a free, open-source software application designed to assist healthcare providers and organizations in measuring and reporting electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs). It is specifically built to calculate these measures using data extracted from electronic health records (EHRs). Its primary function is to bridge the gap between clinical data captured in EHRs and the reporting requirements for various quality reporting programs.

popHealth uses standardized quality measure logic defined using Health Quality Measure Format (HQMF), a standard developed by Health Level Seven International (HL7). This allows for consistent interpretation and application of quality measures across different systems and organizations.

The application is typically used by:
