Sjøholt
Sjøholt is a village in Ålesund Municipality, Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located at the eastern end of the Storfjorden, at the mouth of the Stordalselva river, approximately 25 kilometers (16 mi) east of the town of Ålesund.
Historically, Sjøholt was the administrative centre of the former municipality of Ørskog, which was merged into Ålesund in 2020. Sjøholt has a variety of services including shops, schools, and a kindergarten.
The village is located along the European route E39 highway, which provides connections to Ålesund and other nearby communities. Sjøholt Church is located in the village.
Sjøholt is surrounded by mountainous terrain and agricultural land. The area is popular for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and skiing.
