Bill Williams (footballer, born 1929)
Bill Williams (born 1929) was a Welsh professional footballer who played as a centre-half. He is best known for his time with Wolverhampton Wanderers during the 1950s.
Williams began his career at Rhyl before joining Wolves in 1948. He made his debut for Wolves in 1951 and became a regular in the first team, playing in over 150 league games for the club. He was a member of the Wolves team that won the First Division title in 1953–54 and 1957–58.
After leaving Wolves in 1960, he played for Northampton Town before retiring from professional football. Details of his career after professional football are scarce.
