Bob Christie (racing driver)

Bob Christie (born February 4, 1924, in Grantsburg, Wisconsin – died June 1, 2009, in Denver, Colorado) was an American racecar driver. Christie competed in the USAC Championship Car series, including the Indianapolis 500, from 1956 to 1969.

Christie made 12 starts in the Indianapolis 500. His best finish was 5th place in 1966. He also achieved a 6th place finish in 1968.

Throughout his USAC career, Christie scored several top-ten finishes. He was known for his consistent driving style and durability, completing a high percentage of race laps.

Christie continued to be involved in racing after his driving career ended, participating in vintage racing events.
