Aldein
Aldein is a municipality located in the South Tyrol province of northern Italy, in the autonomous region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol. The municipality is situated in the Eggental valley, also known as Val d'Ega, and lies approximately 15 kilometers south of Bolzano/Bozen.
Aldein is characterized by its mountainous landscape, featuring forests, meadows, and hiking trails. The local economy is largely based on tourism and agriculture. The population primarily speaks German as their first language. Italian is also spoken, and Ladin, another local language, is also present in the region.
The municipality includes several smaller villages and hamlets besides Aldein itself, contributing to a dispersed settlement pattern.
