2010 Democratic Party (HK) leadership election
The 2010 Democratic Party leadership election was held on 12 December 2010 for the 13th Central Committee of the Democratic Party in Hong Kong.
The election saw a contest between incumbent Chairman Albert Ho Chun-yan and legislator Sin Chung-kai for the Chairmanship. Ho, who had served as Chairman since 2006, faced a challenge from Sin, who had previously contested the Deputy Leader post.
The election was conducted through a vote by the party's members. The results saw Albert Ho re-elected as Chairman, defeating Sin Chung-kai.
Following the Chairmanship election, members also voted for the remaining Central Committee positions, including the Vice-Chairpersons and Central Committee members. The newly elected Central Committee was responsible for guiding the party's direction and strategies for the coming years, including preparations for upcoming elections and engagement with the Hong Kong government and public.
