Jim Alexander (footballer)

Jim Alexander is a former Scottish professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He is best known for his time with Kilmarnock, where he was a key member of their squad in the 1970s.

Alexander began his career with Queen's Park before moving to Kilmarnock in 1970. He quickly established himself in the first team and made over 200 appearances for the club. During his time at Kilmarnock, he helped the team reach the Scottish League Cup final in 1974.

After leaving Kilmarnock, Alexander played for a number of other clubs, including Partick Thistle and Ayr United. He retired from professional football in the late 1980s.

Following his playing career, Alexander remained involved in football, working as a coach at youth level.
