Paul Alexander (American football)
Paul Alexander is a retired American football coach, best known for his long tenure as an offensive line coach in the National Football League (NFL).
Alexander began his NFL coaching career with the New York Jets in 1990. He then served as the offensive line coach for the Cincinnati Bengals for a significant period, from 1994 to 2017, with a brief break in 2003. During his time with the Bengals, he was widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches in the league, credited with developing and mentoring several Pro Bowl players. His offensive lines were known for their physicality and consistency.
After leaving the Bengals, Alexander briefly served as the offensive line coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2017. He retired from coaching in 2019 after serving as the offensive line coach for the Dallas Cowboys.
Alexander is respected for his technical knowledge, coaching style, and his ability to develop offensive linemen at all stages of their careers.
