Mohammed Rafique (footballer)

Mohammed Rafique (born 25 January 1991) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Mohammedan Sporting Club.

Career

Rafique started his career with United SC in the I-League. He primarily played as a winger.

In 2014, he joined Indian Super League side Atlético de Kolkata. He became known for scoring the winning goal in the final of the 2014 Indian Super League against Kerala Blasters, just moments after coming on as a substitute.

Following his time with Atlético de Kolkata (later ATK), he also played for Kerala Blasters, Mumbai City FC, and East Bengal in the Indian Super League and I-League. He often played in a more central midfield role for these clubs.

In 2024, he signed for Mohammedan Sporting Club.

International Career

Rafique has represented India at the international level. He made his debut for the Indian national team.
