2008 Masters (snooker)
The 2008 Masters was a professional non-ranking snooker tournament held at the Wembley Arena in London, England, from 13 to 20 January 2008. It was the 34th edition of the Masters tournament, and was part of the 2007/2008 snooker season.
Mark Selby won the tournament, defeating Stephen Lee 10–3 in the final. This was Selby's first Masters title and his first major professional title. The tournament featured the top 16 players in the snooker world rankings, as well as two wild card entrants. The wild card players were Ding Junhui and Ken Doherty.
The highest break of the tournament was a 141 made by Mark Selby in his quarter-final match against Stephen Hendry. The total prize fund for the tournament was £450,000, with the winner receiving £150,000.
