1882 U.S. National Championships (tennis)
The 1882 U.S. National Championships was the second edition of what is now known as the US Open, one of tennis's four Grand Slam tournaments. It was held at the Newport Casino in Newport, Rhode Island, from August 29 to September 1, 1882. The tournament consisted of a men's singles event only. Richard Sears defended his title, defeating Clarence Clark in the final to win his second consecutive U.S. National Championships title.
