X Factor (Danish TV series) season 1

The first season of the Danish version of the reality television music competition X Factor premiered on DR1 on January 4, 2008, and concluded on March 28, 2008. The show aimed to find new singing talent from public auditions. The judging panel consisted of Remee, Lina Rafn, and Thomas Blachman. The season was hosted by Lise Rønne.

The format followed the standard X Factor structure: open auditions, bootcamp, judges' houses (where mentors selected their final acts), and live shows. Each judge mentored one of three categories: 16-24s, Over 25s, and Groups.

The winner of the first season was Martin Hedegaard, mentored by Remee. As the winner, he received a recording contract with Sony BMG. Other notable contestants included Laura Bronée and Heidi Svelmøe Herløw.

The season proved to be a success for DR1, achieving high viewership figures and establishing the X Factor franchise as a popular entertainment format in Denmark.
