Wu Jide
Wu Jide (吴积德, born November 1937) is a Chinese fluid mechanics expert specializing in multiphase flow and heat transfer. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, Wu graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1961. He has spent his career researching and developing technologies related to boiling heat transfer, enhanced heat transfer, and two-phase flow in nuclear reactors and other industrial applications. His work has contributed significantly to the optimization and safety of nuclear power plants and other energy systems in China.
Wu Jide's research focuses on the fundamental understanding of the complex phenomena involved in multiphase flow and heat transfer, particularly as applied to energy technology. He has published extensively in leading international journals and has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to the field. He continues to be an active researcher and mentor, shaping the next generation of fluid mechanics experts in China. He is regarded as a pioneer in the study of two-phase flow and heat transfer in China.
