William Sammes (judge)

William Sammes (died 1627) was an English lawyer and judge who served as a Master of Chancery.

Sammes was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1572. He rose through the ranks of the legal profession and became a Master of Chancery. In this role, he assisted the Lord Chancellor in judicial and administrative matters within the Court of Chancery. He was considered a learned and capable jurist.

He is known to have owned property in Hertfordshire. His will was proved in 1627.
