Giovanni Castiglione (bishop)

Giovanni Castiglione (died 1460) was an Italian Roman Catholic bishop and cardinal. He served as the Bishop of Pavia and later of Albano.

Castiglione was born in Milan. He held various positions in the church hierarchy before being appointed Bishop of Pavia in 1435. He was elevated to the cardinalate by Pope Nicholas V in 1448, receiving the title of Cardinal Priest of San Clemente. Subsequently, he was appointed Bishop of Albano.

As a cardinal, Castiglione participated in papal conclaves. He was known for his diplomatic skills and served as a papal legate in various missions. He died in 1460.
