Belevi

Belevi is a town located in western Turkey, in the Selçuk district of İzmir Province. It is situated approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) from Selçuk and 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from Ephesus.

Historically, Belevi is known for its ancient tumulus, the Belevi Mausoleum. This monumental tomb dates back to the Hellenistic period, specifically to the late 3rd century BC, and is believed to have been built for a high-ranking official, possibly a member of the Seleucid dynasty. The mausoleum's elaborate architectural details and sculptural remains suggest a significant level of wealth and power.

The area around Belevi is rich in archaeological sites, with its proximity to Ephesus contributing to its historical importance. Agriculture is also a significant part of the local economy.
