John Bagot (1849–1910)
John Bagot (1849-1910) was an Australian politician. He served as a Member of the South Australian House of Assembly for the electoral district of Victoria from 1896 to 1906. He was a member of the National Defence League, later renamed the Liberal and Democratic Union. Before entering politics, Bagot was a pastoralist. He was involved in managing family properties in the South East of South Australia. His family, prominent in South Australian society, had significant pastoral interests and contributed to the development of the region. He was known for his advocacy on behalf of rural communities during his time in parliament. He died in Adelaide in 1910.
