Paul Johnson (Australian footballer, born 1984)

Paul Johnson (born 19 January 1984) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Johnson was drafted by West Coast with pick 23 in the 2001 AFL Draft. He made his debut in 2003 and became a regular player, primarily as a tagger and defensive midfielder. He was known for his strong tackling and relentless pressure on opponents.

Johnson played in West Coast's premiership-winning team in 2006, playing a key role in the Grand Final victory over the Sydney Swans. He continued to be a valuable contributor to the Eagles throughout his career, although injuries occasionally hampered his playing time.

He retired from the AFL at the end of the 2012 season, having played 130 games for the West Coast Eagles.
