Emma Kendrick (academic)

Emma Kendrick is a materials chemist and academic specializing in the development and application of advanced materials for energy storage and biomedical applications. She is known for her research on the design and synthesis of novel electrode materials for batteries, particularly lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries, and for her work on materials for drug delivery and tissue engineering.

Kendrick holds a professorship in Sustainable Materials Chemistry at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Her research group focuses on understanding the structure-property relationships of materials at the nanoscale, and how these relationships can be manipulated to improve performance in targeted applications. A significant portion of her work involves the use of advanced characterization techniques, such as electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, to analyze the materials she develops.
