William Moore (cricketer, born 1846)

William Moore (born 21 February 1846, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Hampshire between 1865 and 1867.

Moore was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm roundarm bowler, though his bowling style is described by some sources as simply "slow". He made his debut for Hampshire against Surrey in July 1865 at The Oval, scoring 0 and 1. He played a total of six first-class matches for the county, his last appearance coming against Sussex in August 1867. His highest score was 34, achieved against Surrey in 1866. He took one first-class wicket, also against Surrey in 1866. Little is known about his life outside of his cricket career. His birth was registered in Alverstoke, Hampshire.
