William Dietrich (novelist)

William Dietrich (born 1951) is an American novelist and journalist, primarily known for his adventure and historical fiction novels.

Dietrich was a science and environmental reporter for The Seattle Times for many years, winning a Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 1990 for coverage of the environmental impact of the Exxon Valdez oil spill. He later shifted his focus to writing novels.
