Wild Roses (TV series)
Wild Roses is a Canadian television drama series that aired on CBC Television from January 6, 2009, to June 9, 2009. Created by Esta Spalding, the series revolved around the lives of two families in rural Alberta: the McDeere family, who owned a struggling ranch, and the Henry family, who owned a successful oil company.
The series explored themes of family, love, rivalry, and the clash between traditional ranching values and the modern oil industry. The conflicts between the McDeeres and the Henrys formed the central narrative arc, with subplots involving romantic relationships, business deals, and personal struggles.
Wild Roses featured a cast that included Michelle Harrison, Gary Hudson, Kim Coates, Sarah Power, and Amy Lalonde. Although the series garnered some initial interest, it suffered from low ratings and was ultimately cancelled after one season.
