Wapley
Wapley is a village and civil parish in the South Gloucestershire unitary authority area of England, situated to the north-east of Bristol. It is located near Yate and is part of the broader Yate and Sodbury conurbation.
Historically, Wapley was a small rural settlement. The parish is largely agricultural, although residential development has increased in recent years due to its proximity to larger towns.
The village is known for St. Peter's Church, a Grade I listed building with origins dating back to the Norman period. The church features notable architectural elements reflecting various periods of construction and renovation.
Wapley also gives its name to Wapley Bushes, a nearby nature reserve managed by South Gloucestershire Council. The reserve provides habitat for a variety of flora and fauna.
